Each year, Oregon Society of Artists partners with the Portland Rose Festival to present the annual Portland Rose Festival Art Show! Featuring work that showcases the Rose City in all of its spring resplendence, this exhibition honors the legacy and future of the Rose Festival and the city of Portland. Celebrating the creativity, diversity and talent of the individuals that comprise The Rose City, the Portland Rose Festival Art Show is a must-see year after year!

The 41st Annual Portland Rose Festival Art Show was juried by artist Shahrad Malekfazeli.⁠

Shahrad Malekfazeli was born in 1975 in Tehran. He has been fascinated by the art of painting since he was a child. At the age of 15, he started to learn painting under the mastery of the greatest realist painter of Iran – Morteza Katouzian. At 20, he continued to paint professionally.

 

In 2001, he recieved a bachelors degree in Graphic Design from Jahad Daneshgahi University. He participated in Several Exhibitions including the Group Exhibition of Kara Studio Painters at Sabz Gallery in 1998 and at Sa’ad Abad Palace in 2003.

 

Shortly after, he established his own painting studio and started teaching painting considering classical and traditional values. in 2004, he was honored as one of the top 100 finalists in the Second International ARC salon competition.
