Juror Notes - The more I spent time exploring this high key watercolor and ink painting, the more I enjoyed the artist’s sense of joy and pleasure combining the two mediums. Reminiscent of Zentangle art, here the artist uses a collection of patterns to trace the surfaces of the subjects in the painting. Finding the lizard amongst the patterns was a surprise!
